inspired by the growing movement launched by Greenpeace China to BYOC
(bring your own chopsticks). Our mission is to provide small ways to
make a big impact. ecohashi is a woman-owned business based in the rural Hawaiian community of Haleiwa. Our bags are made in the USA with aloha.

Kaimalie Colabello
Kaimalie is a social entrepreneur who has spent her career working in international business, most recently in the environmental community. While on a visit to Japan she noticed her friends carried their own chopsticks with them. Realizing that other places could benefit from this sustainable practice, she developed the
ecohashi concept and manages sales and operations.
OUR FABRICS
We carry two lines to choose from, ecohashi and ecohashi organic.
ecohashi are made with fun and whimsical fabrics from designers that include Alexander Henry and Michael Miller.
ecohashi organic are made exclusively with colorful, thoughtfully designed organic cotton fabrics from Harmony Art.
ecohashi are shipped without wasteful packaging. They are enclosed directly in a USPS Priority Mail envelope. USPS packaging products have been awarded Cradle to Cradle Certification for their ecologically-intelligent design. For more information go to mbdc.com/usps.
